FEJS GA 2010 in Helsinki

Hey guys, what about the summer? Enjoying the sun? What did you choose? Beach or mountain? Whatever you did, I hope you enjoy yourselves, but now it is time to start a new academic year full of experiences, trips and professional expectations about our main and exciting goal: Journalism.

The Forum of European Journalism Students is proud to announce that the General Assembly of 2010 will be held in Helsinki, Finland.

During the event young journalist from all over the world will convene to discuss the future of Europen Journalism and of the organization.



The event is for european students of journalism, media and communication, and specially people that have attended at least one of the annually arranged FEJS congresses. The purpose of the FEJS is to create a network for young journalists, educate journalists, spread knowledge of the different european culture and give participants both personal and professional experience.

This year, the organization celebrates its 25th anniversary.



During the 3-day event you will experience among other things the sport of sauna (we promise that it will be safe), lectures at the Helsinki University right next to the old city centre, and lodging in a hotel within walking distance of the shopping streets.

The GA will take place from Thursday night on the 4.11 until Monday morning the 8.11. The participation fee will be 135€ wich will cover food and lodging. The application procedure will start at the end of September. Cheap flights to Helsinki can be found among others from Air Baltic, ebookers.fi, Ryanair and Wizz Air.
